Solvents & Formulations

Biosolve has developed different lines of HPLC solvents and mass spectrometry solvents. Standard HPLC, UHPLC, SFC… depending on the liquid chromatography technique you use, select the solvent line fitting your needs.

ULC/MS - CC/SFC Solvents

Biosolve ULC/MS – CC/SFC solvents checked and guaranteed to meet the highest demand for any detection mode connected to ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC), convergence chromatography (CC) and supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC). Extensive QC testing with mass-spectrometer, UV & PDA detectors and ICP-MS ensures the highest specifications for chemical purity, high UV transmission, lowest peak impurities by gradient elution tests and low ionic background.

All ULC/MS-CC/SFC solvents are filtered at 0.1μm and packed under inert gas for better shelf life. Standard packages are available in 1L, 2.5L, PTFE lined amber bottles and for some solvents stainless steel containers are available that can be equipped with dip pipe delivery devices from 25L to 1500L volume.

LC-MS Solvents

LC-MS grade solvents for routine quality chromatography work. Biosolves LC-MS solvents have low cations level and good HPLC, UHPLC and MS performance. All are filtered through 0.2 µm filters.

HPLC SUPRA-GRADIENT Solvents

Biosolves HPLC Supra-Gradient solvents guaranteed specifications are often unique on the market including ultra-low fluorescent impurity levels, outstanding high UV transmission, minimum peak impurities, and very low drift in gradient HPLC.

HPLC Solvents

Biosolve proposes a complete range of HPLC solvents available in different grades: regular HPLC, standard HPLC, preparative HPLC. Please, select the quality fitting your needs.

Solvents for Gas Chromatography

For gas chromatography, Biosolve offers GC-solvents with high purity, high transmittance and low level of fluorescent impurities. Available for GC-Headspace and for LV-GC, please select the line corresponding to your application.

GC Headspace solvents

Biosolve offers solvents specifically developed for the analysis of Organic Volatile Impurities - OVI - by GC-Headspace technique.

Analysis of OVI using GC-Headspace techniques has become a major control procedure in pharmaceutical and food related industries. It requires solvents with a high purity and virtually no background in the volatile impurities range.

Biosolve’s GC Headspace solvents are optimized for accurate analysis of OVI. Every single production batch is specifically evaluated by analysis against OVI standard to ensure the absence of interfering peaks in the GC chromatogram, by both polar and non-polar GC columns. They are suitable for the analysis of OVI as described by the ICH, USP & EP methods.

LV-GC SuperTrace Solvents

Large Volume GC Solvents - LV/GC SuperTrace®

This solvents range is suitable for ultimate organic trace analysis; checked for ppb levels of Poly-Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH’s), Furans, PCB’s, Pesticides, Mineral oil hydrocarbons (MOSH-MOAH) in the range of C10 to C40, and for other residual organic contaminants. Each batch is fully analyzed after 1000:1 concentration with HPLC-PDA, GC-FID, GC-ECD and GC-MS.

All solvents are filtered through 0.2μm and packed under inert gas for better shelf-life.

Reference Standards Solvents for Gas Chromatography

The FDA, USP and EP all recognize the use of secondary standards and working standards that are established with reference to the corresponding primary standard.

Biosolve offers pharmaceutical laboratories and manufacturers a broad range of secondary GC reference standards for various chromatographic and analytical applications. Our secondary GC standards give a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the pharmacopeias primary standards and allow laboratories to focus resources on their core activities rather than preparing internal working standards.

Biosolve secondary GC reference standards are traceable to the current lots of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP); or to European Pharmacopoeia (EP) and British Pharmacopoeia (BP) if available.

Most of our GC reference standards are completely synthetic and typically over 99.9% pure by GC-FID. Identifications determined by GC-MS, FTIR and 1H NMR and reported in the certificate of analysis of each manufactured lot.

Spectrograde

Biosolve offers Spectrograde solvents - Spectrophotometric solvents - with guaranteed ultra-low fluorescence and/or low UV absorbance levels. Theses solvents are also suitable for IR analysis. Depending on your application, please select the quality fitting your needs.

The Spectrofluopure solvents are Biosolve’s highest quality of Spectrophotometric solvents. Specifically developed for UV detection, they are rigorously tested for their ultra-clean UV spectrum.

Spectropure Biosolve’s solvents are high-purity and low residue Spectrophotometric solvents. With low fluorescence and/or low UV absorbance levels, they meet the requirements of UV analysis as well as IR analysis.
