Whole Air Sampling
Tedlar Gas Sampling bags
Tedlar® gas sampling bags are recommended in many US EPA methods including TCLP and methods TO-3 (VOCs), TO-12 (NMOC), TO-14A (VOCs), TO-15 (VOCs), ASTM D-5504 (reduced sulfur compounds) and a variety of atmospheric gas methods. Our Tedlar® bags are an excellent value and offer several features over competitor versions.
Benefits:
- Unique valve and seam-sealing process ensure bags sturdy and leak-proof under most demanding sampling conditions
- Superior 2-mil Dupont Tedlar® material for superior inertness and impermeability
- Abrasion resistant
- Two valve fitting options available - Push/Pull Lock (PLV) and Screw Cap Valve (SCV) w/Thermogreen LB-2 septa installed inside the valve.
Push/Pull Lock Valve (PLV)
The Push Lock or Pull Lock (PLV) valve is our original gas sampling bag valve fitting which is composed of high-grade inert polypropylene and features our Thermogreen LB-2 septum sandwiched between the film and the valve body; the sample in the bag is not exposed to the septum until it is punctured to remove the sample. This valve design will not deadhead the sampling pump causing an immediate in rush of air when the valve is opened. When the valve is in the closed or locked position (pulled up and turned), the sample flows down the stem of the valve and exits a small hole above the o-ring seal of the valve. When the stem is pushed in to open the valve, the flow is directed into the bag. This valve is an excellant choice when exact flow rates are required. It is securely fastened in the center of the bag and the stem is perpendicular to the bag surface.
Screw Cap Valve (SCV)
The Screw Cap Valve (SCV) is our new valve composed of high-grade inert polypropylene and is a screw cap design with replaceable Thermogreen LB-2 septum in the valve cap. The valve is opened and closed by only turning the cap (not the valve body) one-half turn. The septum comes into contact with the sample during sampling. When the valve is closed, our septum makes the seal to maintain the integrity of your sample. This valve is securely fastened in the upper portion of the bag and the stem of the valve is parallel to the bag. This valve is an excellent choice when your application requires replacing septa.
Gas Sampling bulbs
Glass sampling bulbs may be used as an alternative to Tedlar® bags to trap and transport a gas sample. To analyze the sample, remove an aliquot (through the plug-type septum). Our bulbs are oven annealed to resist damage during transportation and on-site use.
Static Dilution Bottle
Use the static dilution bottle to prepare gaseous volatile organic standards using a technique developed by US EPA for air analyses. Inject neat compound through a Mininert valve into the 2L bottle, then withdraw aliquots as required using a gas-tight syringe.
We provide a complete range of high-quality products for accurate, brilliant results in a variety of analytical applications, including HPLC, GC, Karl Fischer titration, elemental trace analysis, classical analysis, air monitoring, food and beverage analysis, and proficiency testing. We also supply a complete range of safety equipment.
